Personal Statement

Currently, I work as the Head of Department and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Development Studies in the School of Public Health and Social Sciences at Muhimbili University of Health and Applied Sciences (MUHAS), Tanzania. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education (majoring in Economics) and a Master of Arts in Economics from the University of Dar es Salaam. I have a PhD in Health Economics and Public Health from MUHAS in collaboration with Umea University in Sweden in 2022. Experienced in teaching health economics, healthcare financing, priority setting and strategic planning, healthcare entrepreneurship, and operations management in healthcare. Interested in health economics (economic evaluation, priority setting and planning, HRQoL and healthcare financing).
