INTEGRITY COMMITTEE
MUHAS Integrity Committee is responsible for preventing corruption, addressing ethical complaints, educating MUHAS community on integrity and anti-corruption matters, and ensuring that the institution complies with anti-corruption laws, regulations, and action plans under NACSAP IV (National Anti-Corruption Strategy and Action Plan).
At MUHAS, we believe that excellence in health sciences education, research, and service delivery must go hand in hand with integrity, accountability, transparency, and ethical conduct. As an institution dedicated to serving society, we recognize that maintaining high ethical standards is essential to building trust, protecting institutional resources, and fulfilling our responsibilities to the public.
MUHAS is committed to promoting a culture where integrity is valued, ethical conduct is encouraged, corruption is prevented, and concerns or complaints are addressed fairly and responsibly. Through our policies, institutional mechanisms, staff awareness, and implementation of anti-corruption initiatives under NACSAP IV, we continue to strengthen good governance and accountability across the University.

Our Roles
- Mapping of areas prone to corruption and develop respective interventions.
- Articulate institutional responsibilities pertaining to implementation of the Strategy into the actionable plans and report to the management on regular basis.
- Prepare and submit quarterly and annual reports to Special NACSAP IV Management Committee.
- Receive, consider, and provide redress to complaints (seven days for ordinary complaints) from within or outside the institution to issues related to violations of ethical practices.
- Prepare and implement capacity building interventions to middle level officials, managers and lower cadres on integrity issues, anti-corruption and good governance.
- Monitor implementation of induction courses for newly recruited and appointed staff.
- Inform and advise respective management on the enforcement of the existing laws, rules, and regulations, and
- Develop and implement NACSAP IV Action Plans.
