Estate and Works Management Unit

The Estates and Works MAnagement Unit provide and ensure that the teaching, research and consultancy services are rendered within a safe environment at the University

Our Roles

  • Manage all work contracts between the University and the Contractors;
  • Ensure proper and efficient ground maintenances, landscaping and cleanliness of all University external and internal environment;
  • Ensure that maintenance services to the University infrastructure and facilities are provided in accordance with international standards and regulations;
  • Enforce building rules and Municipal bylaws;
  • Supervise timely preparation of accurate Bill of Quantities (BoQs) and their examination for accuracy and authenticity;
  • To prepare and compile budget estimates of the Estates Unit, including repair of infrastructure equipment and Capital Development;
  • To ensure that staff under the Unit receive regular supervision and support in carrying out their duties;
  • To prepare the Unit’s training needs and development plans; and
  • Coordinate preparation of the physical master plan of the University estates
