MUHAS TRAINS NURSES ON NEWBORN HEARING SCREENING TO STRENGTHEN EARLY DETECTION OF HEARING LOSS

MUHAS conducted a two-day training workshop on newborn hearing screening for nurses from Muhimbili National Hospital, Temeke Regional Referral Hospital, and Amana Regional Referral Hospital from 24 to 25 July 2026.

The training was implemented under the Hear Africa Connect Project, a Tanzania–Germany collaboration funded by the State Chancellery of Lower Saxony and the Lower Saxony Ministry of Social Affairs and has enhanced nurses’ knowledge and practical skills in early hearing-loss detection and referral.
