14TH SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS RESEARCH, STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS AND GENOMICS INNOVATION
On 1 July 2026, the Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Adolf Mkenda, officially opened the 14th MUHAS Scientific Conference, emphasizing research’s role in advancing higher education and healthcare. The conference attracted approximately 500 participants who presented research findings.
During the conference, MUHAS signed agreements with AUDA-NEPAD and APHRC to strengthen collaboration and
launched Next Generation Sequencing services to improve disease diagnosis, personalized medicine, research, outbreak surveillance, and regional genomics capacity.
