MUHAS RECEIVES ADVANCED TRAINING EQUIPMENT TO STRENGTHEN SEXUAL AND REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH EDUCATION

On 10 July 2026, MUHAS received advanced teaching and simulation equipment valued at approximately US$65 million to strengthen competency-based training in Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH).

The equipment was received through the Improving the Quality of Sexual and Reproductive Health Training in Pre-Service Medical Education in      Tanzania: A Focus on Family Planning and Comprehensive Post-Abortion Care project, implemented by the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in collaboration with the School of Nursing and the Center for International Reproductive Health Training (CIRHT) at the University of Michigan.

The state-of-the-art equipment will enhance simulation-based learning, practical skills training, and the quality of SRH education, ultimately contributing to improved maternal health outcomes in Tanzania.
