The Institute of Tradition Medicine (ITM) at MUHAS participated in the 11^th University of Dar es Salaam (UDSM) Research and Innovation Week held from 19–21 May 2026 at Mlimani Campus, showcasing its research activities, consultancy services, training programmes, herbal medicinal products, and medicinal plant herbarium collections.

The institute promoted evidence-based traditional medicine, conservation, and herbal medicine development. The event attracted researchers, students, and stakeholders, enhancing career awareness, public engagement, and collaboration.
