On 13 May 2026, MUHAS hosted Dr. Peter Kilmarx, Acting Director of the Fogarty International Center, and Dr. Mahesh Swaminathan, CDC Tanzania Country Director, to discuss strengthening research partnerships and global health collaboration.

During the visit, MUHAS showcased its NIH-funded projects, research achievements, and capacity-building initiatives. Dr. Kilmarx commended MUHAS for fostering collaboration and advancing health research, training, and health systems strengthening in Tanzania.
