The 6th Paediatric Society of the African League Against Rheumatism (PAFLAR) Congress was held on 14 May 2026 at MUHAS under the theme “Universal Access to Healthcare: United for Better Joint Health.” It brought together experts, researchers, and policymakers from Africa and beyond to advance care through innovation, education, and collaboration.
Dr. Gunini Kamba highlighted government support, funding, and training of specialists in Tanzania. Prof. Francis Furia noted the shortage of specialists affecting diagnosis and care, while Dr. Ayodele Fayele called for increased investment in training and stronger integration into health systems.
